Thuto’s music career started in 2008 when he was exposed to local hip hop music and got inspiration from his home-based artists.
He started Reciting established artists rhymes, artists such as HHP, Morafe, Notshi and Cassper Nyovest he believes that the influence
was heavy on him as they used his mother tongue and they told allot of real stories. Later on, he learned how to write his own lyrics.
Always being a dancer, he got introduced to choreography and started creating dance routines with other dancers his neighborhood.
His work got exposed around Mafikeng, surrounding areas and around S.A. This was testament when Ambitiouz Records’ signee multiple
award winning Fifi Cooper of hit tracks “Kisses” and “Monate C” wanted his work too.
After completing Fifi’s project, he started working on his mixtape. The motive behind working on his mixtape after only focusing on
being one of the sought-after dancers in Mzansi, and being part of the A&R team for so many hits, was to offer himself to the masses
in a new light and to explore his other creative side which is being a rapper. His latest offering is titled “SHEYGO”. He basically
explains a character that can fit into different social groups, he named that character Sheygo.
His mixtape explains how he sees life and carrying out a positive message to the masses in a very unique sound that will easily capture listeners that support or listens to
trap music. He titled the single “SHEYGO” after working with a well-known producer “Beatjunky” who was at that time working with
different producers to create a hub of beat submissions for all the artists that are signed under his record label. The music in the
album gives awareness about spiritual well-being, it inspires to follow God’s way and start living a POSITIVE life.
He believes his music career is God’s plan to attract youth to his master God by listening to his music. It encourages them to be closer to God and live
right. Solidt is currently working on his solo project called ‘First March EP’ and he has also worked with DJ Maphorisa, HHP & Khuli Chana
on songs that will be released in anytime. Solid-t is now partnered with G63 Music a record label & artist Management Company in Joburg
